Biography: Daniel R. McDermott, 68, of Lenox Avenue, Oneida, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Oneida Health Hospital.
Born in Oneida on October 22, 1954, he was the son of Joseph D. and Dorothy Ernenwein McDermott. A lifelong resident of the area, Daniel was a graduate of Oneida High School. He married Marie Matthews in Oneida on February 14, 1985.
Daniel was employed with various manufacturers and businesses throughout his career.
Surviving besides his wife Marie are: his brother-in-law, Thomas (Julie) Matthews; his sister-in-law, Melissa (Steve) Lawless; his niece, Cristine (David) Colistra, his nephew, John Waccard as well as two other nieces, six other nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, William D. McDermott, and James F. (Susan) McDermott; and one sister, Barbara (Dan) Waccard.
All services will be held at the convenience of the family.
