Biography: Lynn L. Sherman, 73, Center Street, Canastota, died Monday, May 22, 2023, at her residence, following a brief illness.
Born in Oneida on February 18, 1950, she was the daughter of Alfred and Anna Demarse Yakey, Sr. A lifelong resident of the area, Lynn was a graduate of Oneida High School. She married James Sherman on July 8, 1970. Mr. Sherman died on January 18, 2004.
Surviving are; her son, Scott (Nancy) Sherman of Cortland and her daughter, Betty Jo Sherman of Orlando, Florida.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 South Peterboro Street, Canastota with the Reverend Donna Chapman, officiating. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 12-1PM, prior to the funeral service. Interment will be made in Lenox Rural Cemetery.
