Biography: MARK JOHANSEN
ROME- Mark Johansen, 65, of IRA 4 in Rome, formerly of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.
     Many will remember Mark’s strong and willful personality, despite any obstacle, which he maintained until his last breath. He was a lover of people, music, cars and Sponge Bob.
     Mark was predeceased by his father Herman in 1975; his mother Helen in 2002 and his brother Paul in 2006. He is survived by his sister Ann Pace of Minoa, a nephew Jerry (Rachel) Pace of Oneida and his special family and friends of IRA 4 in Rome.
     Mark’s family would like to recognize the endless love from the staff of IRA 4, Brenda, Donny and all the angels Mark has met along his journey. Also, thank you to the individual nursing staff of Rome Hospital’s 2 East wing for their special care.
     Funeral services will be held 12PM Monday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 South Peterboro Street, Canastota, with the Reverend Stephen Wirkes, officiating. Interment will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11-12 Monday, prior to the funeral service.
