Biography: SUZANNE M. PAGE
VERONA- Suzanne M. “Suzy” Page, 58, passed away on August 29, 2014 in the Oneida Healthcare Center, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer since March. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born in Oneida in March 1, 1956, she was the daughter of George and Mildred Darling Butler. A lifelong resident of Oneida until the floods in 2013 when she relocated to Verona, Suzy attended Oneida High School and later took classes at BOCES to further her education.
Suzy was currently employed with the Turning Stone Casino and Resort as an Environmental Services Supervisor for the past seventeen years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Suzy loved animals and had a special affinity for hummingbirds. She enjoyed gardening in her flower beds, swimming and loved to spend time with her friends. Suzy was very family oriented and deeply loved her children and grandchildren. She had a love for life and showed that by celebrating every holiday, all birthdays and anniversaries and tended to go “all out” for those occasions.
Surviving are: one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Charles Hollenbeck of Morrisville; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Sarah Barcomb of Verona; three grandchildren, Caitlin Hollenbeck, Charles Hollenbeck II and his wife Molly and Gavin Barcomb; two great-grandchildren, Aidan Shilling and Tanner Hollenbeck; one sister, Linda Barlow and Fred Herringshaw of Oneida Castle; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, George and Amy Butler of Oneida, Gerald Butler and Billene Hubbard of Sherrill and Timothy and Judy Butler of Oneida; her two best friends, Linda Meliso and Sandra Hines; her canine companion of seventeen years, Travis and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 7PM Monday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Frank Grachien, officiating. Private interment will be made at the convenience of the family in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-7PM Monday, prior to the funeral service.
