Biography: KELSEY ELLEN CASWELL-YOUNG
ONEIDA-Kelsey Ellen Caswell-Young, 10, daughter of Kyle R. Young and Ellen Caswell, died Monday, August 17, 2015, in University Hospital, Syracuse, where she was admitted earlier in the day, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, in the City of Oneida, Sunday evening.
Born in Oneida, on May 15, 2005, Kelsey would have entered the fifth grade at Willard Prior Elementary School this fall. She played the violin and flute, was active in Girl Scouts and 4-H, participated in horseback riding and was a cheerleader with Pop Warner Football. Kelsey will always be remembered as a well-mannered and friendly young lady, considerate of others.
Surviving is her father, Kyle R. Young of Munnsville; her mother, Ellen Caswell, died Sunday evening from injuries of the same accident;
her brother, Kadyn Alexander Depasquale; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Joan Caswell of Verona; her paternal grandmother, Tina Young of Munnsville; her paternal great-grandfather, James Matterson of Jackson, Tennessee; her aunts and uncles, Corey Young and his fiancée, Kara Smith of Westmoreland, Chad Young of Munnsville, Kelly and Brad Benefield of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Danielle Perior; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Saturday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Mark Monroe, officiating. Interment will made, at the convenience of the family, in Eaton Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3-7 PM, Friday.
