Biography: CRAIG D. PALMER DURHAMVILLE- Craig D. Palmer, 58, Hilts Road, died Tuesday evening, July 26, 2016, in Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, where he had been a patient for the past three and one-half weeks.
Born in Oneida on March 6, 1958, he was the son Beverley Deeley.
A lifelong resident of the area, Craig was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1977.
Mr. Palmer was employed with Hillside Motorcycle and Machine, in Munnsville and was recongnized as one of the top Harley Davidson head mechanic in the country and had previously been employed with Central Service. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed his mechanics of motorcycles and cars, loved and took pride in his home, loved his dogs as part of his family and cherished his family and many friends.
Surviving are his mother, Beverley Ayers of Durhamville; one sister and her companion, Tamara J. Palmer and Ruth Fitzgerald of Syracuse; two brothers, Scott C. Palmer and his companion, Maureen Arnold of Munnsville, and Todd D. Palmer and his companion, Faith Burke of Sylvan Beach; two nephews, Kristoffer Palmer and Wyatt Palmer and one niece, Arianna Matt, two cousins, Lisa Deeley Smith and her husband, Alan and Maureen Deeley Cavanagh and her husband, Joseph. Predeceased by his stepfather, Ausitn Ayers, an uncle and aunt, Dr. Maurice Deeley and his wife, Alberta (Tina) and grandfather and grandmother, Maurice and Vernie Deeley.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Saturday, August 6, 2016 from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, 260 Main Street, Oneida, with Reverend Brian Fellows, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 1-4 PM, Saturday, prior to the funeral service. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
