Sheila M. Tucker
MC CONNELLSVILLE- Sheila A. Tucker, 68, Main Street, died  Monday, December 25, 2017, surrounded by her family, in the Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been a patient for the past month.
Born in Oneida, on August 26, 1949, she was the daughter of Grant B. and Ermajean Ball Peckham. A resident of Mc Connellsville for the past twenty-nine years, Sheila was a graduate of Morrisville-Eaton High School, Cortland State College, where she received her bachelors degree and University of Connecticut, where she received her masters.
She married Richard B. Tucker, in Eaton, on August 20, 1988.
Prior to her retirement, Sheila was a reading specialist teacher for Camden Central Schools, and previously had taught at Cincinnatus, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Stafford Springs, Connecticut schools. She attended Mc Connellsville Community Church and truly enjoyed sewing, her home and her cats.
Surviving besides her husband, Richard, are her daughter and son-in-law, Karri and Eric Chase of Warners; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Scott M. and Rebecca Tucker of Homer and Jon Henderson of North Syracuse; one sister and her husband, Joan Peckham and Brian Jepson of Kingston, Rhode Island; six grandchildren, Rowan, Clara and Cameron Tucker, Olivia Reed and Brayden and Abigail Chase; and several nieces and nephews. She predeceased by her parents and her brother, Grant Peckham, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Saturday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 South Peterboro Street, Canastota. Interment will be made in Peterboro Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, 3-7 PM, Friday. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society, Box 7, 5725 Lyon Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
