NANCY L. POZNIAK
BLOSSVALE- Nancy L. Pozniak, 58, Passer Road, died Thursday, January 4, 2018, surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her home.
Born in Syracuse, on April 12, 1959, she was the daughter of Earl and Marcelle Oot Taylor. A resident of Blossvale for the past twenty-one years, Nancy was a graduate of the East Syracuse-Minoa High School. She married James A. Pozniak in Rome on March 14, 1987.
Nancy was employed with Price Chopper Stores for forty-one years, and was the general merchandise manager, for twenty-five years, with the Rome store. She enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading various autobiographies, spending time with her special companion, her dog, Duke, and meeting daily with her special family friend, Bill Little. Nancy was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving besides her husband, James, are her daughter, Christine Martinez of Syracuse; her two sons, Andrew J. “AJ” and his wife, Jeannette Pozniak of Canastota and Josh Rumph of Biddle, Montana; her two sisters, Sue Taylor and Terry Taylor, both of Minoa; her brother and his wife, Andrew and Amy Taylor of Minoa; nine grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Deborah White of Westmoreland and Patricia and Larry D’Amore of Rome and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Betsy Taylor.
Funeral services will be held privately from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida. Spring interment will be made in Verona Cemetery. To leave a message of condolence, please visit www.campbell-dean.com.

Nancy you will truly be missed by your friends and family. I am glad that I got to know you and Jim when we helped with the barn and Halloween a few years ago. It was a fun time for all. Your smile was A beam of light from the stars above.Keep shinning for all of us to see. We will miss you.But always keep you in our thoughts prayers and our hearts.

Nancy, I will always remember your wonderful laugh in Price Chopper. You were always so helpful and upbeat when I needed assistance. I will miss you in the store. Prayers to your family in this terrible time. I know they will keep you in their hearts forever.

I feel so blessed to have known Nancy. I will always hold dear to my heart the memories we shared at camp. Nancy was a great friend. She always had a smile on her face. I will miss her very much.

What a beautiful person she was. I worked at the Chopper with Nancy for 15 years and she was one of my best friends there. It was a shock to hear of her early passing. My sincerest condolences to the family.

AJ, so very sorry for your loss. I loved talking to your Mom when she dropped you off or when I would see her at the store. I wanted to send a card but didn’t have your address, so this was my only way to contact you. A huge hug from me and prayers for you to get through this grieving time. I am so sorry for the entire families loss. Nancy was a great individual, I worked with her at Price Chopper, years ago, but every time I saw her it was like yesterday we were together. You are all in my prayers and wishing you my sincerest condolences.
