Biography: IRENE L. GREENE
ONEIDA- Irene L. Greene, 93, formerly of the Village of the Pines, died Monday, August 27, 2918, in the Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Healthcare Center, with her family by her side,where she had been a patient for the past four months.
Born on the Onondaga Nation Territory, on March 26, 1925, Irene was educated in Syracuse schools and moved to Oneida in 2005. Her husband, Wallace Greene, Sr. died in 2000.
Irene was a member of the Oneida Indian Nation, Turtle Clan. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and their children, her New York Yankees and doing her beautiful beadwork.
Surviving are her daughter, Vicki Greene of Oneida; her four sons and two daughters-in-law, Wallace Greene, Jr. of the Onondaga Nation, Barry and Luanne Greene of Jamesville, Terry Greene of Syracuse and Lyndon and Robyn Greene of Munnsville; her six grandchildren, Jared, Shayna, Joelle, Olivia, Levi and Landon; and her three great-grandchildren, Marie, Shiloh and Mira. She was predeceased by a son, Rodney Greene in 1980.
