CAROL J. KIMBALL
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA- Carol J. Kimball, 72, formerly of Oneida, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Advent Health Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Canastota on November 29, 1946, she was the daughter of Joseph J. and Arlene Tefft Compoli.  As a resident of Canastota, she was a graduate of Canastota High School and was a communicant of St. Agatha’s Church.  She married Clayton O. Kimball, Jr. on May 1st 1965, and later moved to Oneida.  Carol and Clayton were blessed with three loving children, Michael, Eric and Andrea, while living in Oneida for more than forty-seven years. In October 2012 Carol and Clayton moved to New Smyrna Beach, where she lived until her passing.
Carol was employed with Oneida Limited, retiring in 2007 with more than twenty years of service.  After her retirement she developed a passion for garage sales and flea marketing with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed socializing at her favorite restaurant, “The Garlic” in New Smyrna Beach.  Carol loved to travel enjoying trips to Mexico, Italy, etc.  Favorite events of Carol’s were the annual Oneida High School class reunion, held at ‘The Villages’ in Florida and the Boxing Hall of Fame weekend held in Canastota, which she made a priority to attend annually.  She especially enjoyed having her children, their families and friends visit her in Florida on a regular basis.
Surviving are, her husband of fifty-four years, Clayton O. Kimball, Jr of New Smyrna Beach; her mother, Arlene Compoli of Canastota; one daughter, Andrea J. Kimball of New Smyrna Beach; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Kristy (Weaver) Kimball of Oneida and Eric J. Kimball of Sherrill; three grandchildren, Mycale, Janelle and Kennedy Kimball; two step grandchildren, Matthew Harp and Analyse Renfer; one great step grandchild, Brantley Oakley; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph W. and Sarah (Pratico) Compoli of Schenectady; one niece, Mary Compoli Travis; several cousins; many in-laws and her loving pet dog, “Buford”.  Carol was predeceased by her father, Joseph J. Compoli in 1992.
Funeral services will be held 11AM, Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Rev. Richard Kapral, officiating. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home 3-7 PM, Monday, March 25.  Contributions may be made to Wanderer’s Rest Humane Association, PO Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032.
